MIRI, 7 APRIL, 2011: Sarawak United People's Party president Tan Sri Dr George Chan lodged a police report today on flyers being allegedly circulated by the DAP.
This is the second report lodged by SUPP after Pujut Barisan Nasional incumbent Andy Chia told police that his campaign billboard at the Krokop 10- Jee Foh Road roundabout had been vandalised.
Dr Chan, who is defending his Piasau seat, said the flyers in Chinese potrayed BN as a corrupt government.
He told reporters that the matter had been reported to the Election Commission, and that a civil suit was being considered.
"We have have been very gentlemenly in carrying out our campaign, and yet these people have been coming up with unfair and dirty tactics to tarnish our image," he added.
Earlier today, Pujut BN incumbent Andy Chia told police his campaign billboard at the Krokop 10-Jee Foh Road roundabout in Miri had been vandalised.
